Metal Mummy

She’s been able to take her clothes off for quite some time now. You’d walk in to pick her up from her nap, and she’d have an arm poking out the neck of her jumper and the trousers would be on the floor. Or she’d completely strip down to her nappy. But never, until this morning, has she taken the nappy off. She’s always been pretty good like that. I thought I’d gotten away with it. A friend of mine has a daughter who, at 12 months old, takes her nappy off. So I thought Freyja had missed the boat.

I was wrong.

I walk in to her room this morning, to find her stark b*****k naked, with her sleepsuit scrumpled up a corner and her nappy in another corner. My initial reaction was Oh God, she’s poo’ed and wee’d on her bed. But she hadn’t! Her nappy was very full, but she hadn’t done any sort of business since taking it off.

That’s not so bad then!
