Organix Goodies: The New Way to Freyja’s Heart!
Posted in Product Reviews
We are, or rather Freyja is, lucky enough to be doing her first product review. We have been in contact with a very lovely lady at Organix, who has sent a load of Goodies for Freyja to try and test. The box arrived today, and I was gobsmacked. I was only expecting a couple of things to try, but it was like Christmas! As I opened the box, within the green tissue paper was something that made Freyja’s eyes light up. She jumped right in there, and went straight for the blackcurrant cake bars (bypassing the Gingerbread men… is she mad?!).
So, I’ll be writing a post soon about the lovely bits and pieces I’ve been sent to try. I suppose I best ration the Goodies though – I don’t think even Freyja would eat this lot in one go…
In the meantime, I’ve been having a browse of the Organix “My Recipes” folder that I received. It’s a handy recipe book, full of scrummy recipes for babies and toddlers, ranging from purée foods for Stage 1 weaners (teehee, that sounds like wieners) up to 12 months plus. The folder can be added to as and when – whether it be your own recipes that you just want to throw in there for good measure, or the many recipes that you can find on the Organix website. There’s such a lot to choose from, from snacks, meals, breakfasts and desserts, and they are all healthy and easy to make. A lot of the recipes are also suitable to freeze – something I would have been lost without since weaning Freyja. In the folder is also some handy little tips and ideas about what to serve at the different stages. I remember looking on the Organix site, amongst other places, when I was trying to find inspiration for what to make for Freyja. I struggled when I was first weaning her – I didn’t know what was the right food for what age, not to mention my creativity lacking somewhat in the kitchen, so recipes like these would have, and some did, come in very handy.
The one thing I swore by when I was introducing Freyja to solid food, was making big batches of puréed grub, freezing them in ice cube trays, and then once frozen, popping them out into freezer bags – then labelling the bags, and picking and choosing what cubes I wanted at each mealtime. Just a handy tip…
Anyway, I’m going to have a read through this recipe book and see what yummy delights I can make for Freyja for dinner. Although, I think if she had her way, she’d just neck into the box of Goodies she has!

You lucky devil organix goodies! I love there products although we have only tried the rice cakes in the goodies range. Your blog is fantasic, pat on the back for you!
