Operation Compulsive Dominos
Posted in Product Reviews, Reviews
I have a slight obsession with pizza. Not just any pizza. I can’t just wander into a supermarket and grab one of theirs. I can’t even get a big branded pizza from a supermarket. They just don’t taste that great and it involves having to cook it.
However, when James suggests ordering a takeaway, I jump at the chance. Not Chinese. Not Indian. Not a kebab. Pizza. Dominos pizza. It’s pretty much the only pizza I will devour like a rabid dog. I just love it. We always order the same thing. It’s always a half and half. Mainly because James is obsessed with Meateor and I’m not a big fan of pepperoni, so I have my own way too by having half Hawaiian. The only annoying thing about that is his BBQ sauce leaks onto my side and taints my pineapple. Bleurgh. I think that’s just his trick to get some of my pizza too. I know his game.
For as long as we have been together, we have had Dominos. We have lived in 3 different houses and ordered from 3 different stores, but it’s always been our takeaway of choice. We used to order the pizza online, but since moving to our new home, haven’t been able to. Something to do with it being a new build, and our postcode isn’t in the system yet. There’s also a bit of a turf war going on between two of the stores, so I think they are squabbling over who gets this patch. So, until it all gets sorted, we have resulted to phoning them. They must think we are mad. We always have the same thing, and it’s usually at least once a week. It makes me laugh when they know exactly who we are when we call them to order. We could be saving a fortune if we didn’t have takeaway so often, but when you have nothing in the fridge, and in my case, not much imagination, what’s better than curling up with a pizza (and garlic and herb dip – it’s like ambrosia to me, except I’m not a god) and some cookies for dessert, in front of the TV watching the X Factor or a good film? Not much can beat that – especially when it’s Two for Tuesday.

You sound like someone after my own heart! I am a dominos addict, not so much for the pizza but for the wedges and the cookies! Heaven!
I could probably afford a holiday with the amount of money I would save if I stopped having dominos!
