The Christmas Fairies
Posted in General
When Freyja was out with her granny and grandad this morning, the Christmas fairies popped round to the house and said hello. They were very polite, and took their shoes off at the door. They brought us biscuits and told us to put our feet up, so we did.
Whilst James and I were making brews and playing Fallout, the Christmas fairies got to work and made our house all pretty and festive. They even jumped in our car (they’re insured under 3rd party because they are over 25 and have excellent no claims) and drove over to Keydell to pick up some extra baubles to fill up our 7 foot tree. They strapped bricks to their feet and sat on a Yellow Pages so that they could reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel. Smart cookies.
They did a grand job, although they have put sellotape on the door to keep the wreath hanging nicely. I’m sure I’ll get it off, and if not, I suppose I’ll forgive them, seeing as the wreath has lights that flash. It’s also got little robins sitting within the berries, but they are upside down. Not even Christmas Fairies are perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, and theirs was hanging the wreath the wrong way up.
The tree they made looks fantastic. All the sparkly baubles arrange beautifully. They did a lovely job of the lights too, twinkling sporadically and reflecting off the tree decorations.
Upstairs, they wrapped some snowflake lights around our bannister, and entwined some glittery red leaves. Very simple, but effective.
They even cleaned up after themselves! When they had finished making our house look truly magical, they popped they little shoes on and fluttered away. They even left us the biscuits to finish off. How awesome are they?!
Thank you Christmas fairies. I don’t suppose you can continue the magic in my purse, my making the shiny 10p into some lovely paper notes?
Didn’t think so.

oooh I love the tree so preeeety! I love Christmas!
