Metal Mummy

I’d hoped to get a fabulous photo for this prompt. I imagined my daughter, running around in her boots and warm winter coat, running amongst the fallen leaves and jumping in puddles. But then the weather did what it did – It rained, lots, and the thought of going out was a horrid one. So instead, I had a look through my mountains of photographs, and found a couple of good ones to do with my favourite season: Winter. I love it. I love the snow and I love Christmas. I love the lights, the decorations, the snowflakes and the kids playing outside in their snowboots and mittens. It’s fab, and I can’t wait until it snows this year (if it snows this year). Just looking through all my photos is getting me ever so slightly excited.

We are a lucky family really. James’ parents live over in the South of France, which in itself, is fantastic when it comes to visiting them. Although has its’ down points too (i.e. not seeing them for months on end). Last Christmas, we spent the holiday over in France and then went on to Andorra for a week of skiing. It was lovely, and these are some of the photos from that holiday. I kind of needed that sort of holiday to take some photos of a real winter, rather than the ones we get here – which usually happen in March or something silly like that. It was Freyja’s first Christmas, and her first encounter with snow, so there were some very memorable moments.
