Christmas is Done and Dusted. What Next?
Posted in Product Reviews
Now that Christmas is all over and done with for another year, I have something else to concentrate on. Well, in actual fact, I have two things to concentrate on. One being our wedding – we have decided to start saving and, with the help of my dear mum, will be able to look at 2012 for the big day. How exciting is that?!
In the meantime, we have a holiday to look forward to, again, courtesy of my dear mum (you’d think she was rolling in it, but she really isn’t). After much deliberation, we decided to look at package holidays and settled on one in Turkey – Olu Deniz. We’ve never been there before and it looks beautiful. Has anyone been there before? I’m hoping nobody comes back and says “Yes, I have. It’s crap”. To me, it looks stunning – breathtaking views, lots to explore and my personal favourite – white water rafting and parasailing. Excitamundo!
Anyway, that’s in May – not long to go! I’m not looking forward to the plane ride much however – I know it’s only 4 hours, but we’ve only taken Freyja on ones that last less than 2 hours – trying to entertain a 2 year old on a 4 hour flight should be interesting. Apparently, when I was her age I was slightly demonic and mum had a few less hairs by the time we arrived because she’d pulled them all out. I’m hoping Freyja is a little better than that. I may even treat her to some new things to play with for the trip. Courtesy of daddy, she now has a cute little princess rucksack – it’s only right to fill it with goodies.
The other holiday we’ll have to plan is the honeymoon – we have given it some thought and have a few destinations to choose from. We’re not into all this sun sea and sand lark. We would love to explore somewhere. Somewhere we’ve never been to. It’s so exciting just thinking of it – and our time will come to plan that too.
I guess I should concentrate on getting Freyja to Turkey first. Getting myself there in one piece and preferably not stressed will be an added bonus. Something to look forward to though!
