In Memory of my Grandad

Today would be my grandad’s 88th birthday, if he was still around to celebrate it. Unfortunately, he passed away back in 2000 and I miss him every day.
He was such a wonderful man – so funny and kind. He stepped up as a father role model to me, seeing as I’ve never had a dad of my own. He and nan looked after me when mum worked hard to support us. He was fantastic and I think he would be very proud of what I’ve accomplished and the heart-meltingly fabulous great-grandaughter he would have if he was still around to see her.
I hope that I am, and I will become, everything my grandfather would have wanted me to be.
We all love you so much, and you are forever in our thoughts.

Very moving post. Sure he would have been v proud of you.
