Review & Giveaway: Supernatural Kids Clothing

Posted in Competition/Giveaway, Product Reviews (Tags: , , , , , , )

I have a bit of an obsession with clothes. I don’t know how it happens, but if I walk into a shop (particularly childrens’ clothing shops), things just fly off the rails and land in my hands. I don’t know how they do it. It’s weird too, because it only seems to be girl clothes, that I adore, that fling themselves at me. It’s never the nasty stuff. Strange.

What makes it even weirder, is I then, on autopilot, walk to the till, and my purse LEVITATES out of my bag and money floats towards the cashier. It’s so weird. I just can’t stop it.

I have a bit more control whilst shopping online for things, although Paypal does start itself up sometimes and the “Confirm Payment” button gets pressed by an invisible finger. All of a sudden, clothes turn up on my doorstep. It’s so so very odd.

The problem with a lot of places is the quality of the clothing is, well, crap. You bung it in the wash and it comes out looking faded, like it has been passed down through your family for the past 20 years. The quality of the material used isn’t always that great and you do wonder how many sweatshops have been used to get these things made. Especially when you pay stupidly cheap prices.

It’s always nice finding people who make organic clothing, which brings me comfortably to the fabulous Jenny at Supernatural Kids Clothing

They make beautifully soft childrens’ clothing made from a mix of modal (a manmade fibre from sustainably farmed beech wood) and organic cotton. When Jenny said they were soft, I didn’t realise HOW soft until an outfit arrived for Freyja and all I wanted to do was snuggle it. It almost made me want to suck my thumb like I did when I was a kid and used my mum’s trousers as a security blanket. But I didn’t. That would just be weird.

Supernatural Kids Clothing make lovely simple clothes for both boys and girls between the ages of 1 and 4. They make beautiful dresses, t shirts and leggings in a variety of colours so you can mix and match. For babies, their sister site, Baby Black, produce beautiful baby-gros in my favourite colour – black. Do you realise how CUTE babies look in black? Very, is the answer.

To promote the fabulous Supernatural Kids, I’m hosting a competition! You can win one whole organic outfit for your child. You can choose whether you want an outfit for a boy or a girl, what colour you want it in and what size you would like.

To enter the competition, complete these 2 things (compulsory):

-          Pop over to the Supernatural Kids Clothing site and choose either:

  • A Dress Top Half and Leggings Bottom Half

OR

  • A T Shirt Top Half and Leggings Bottom Half
  • Decide the colour you’d like and the age you’d like the outfit to be in.

-          Follow supernatbbblack on Twitter. Just click on the link.

For 1 extra entry each…

-          Follow Metal Mummy on Twitter
-          Like the Metal Mummy Facebook Page
-          Like the Supernatural Kids Clothing Facebook Page
-          Like the Metal Mummy Feed
-          Tweet the Competition

Let me know which things you’ve done in a nice big comment in the comment section and I will tally how many entries you are entitled to. If you do all the things listed, you would get 5 whole entries into the draw. Please don’t forget to comment what outfit you’d like. It’d be useless without that info.

The competition will end at 23:59 on the 21st February 2011.

I hope you enjoy exploring the Supernatural Kids Clothing site and also pop over to see their sister site, Baby Black – hopefully you’ll fall in love with the fabulous range, just like I have.
