Cybermummy: 1 Day to Go
Posted in General
So here I am sitting at my computer, copying music over to my (James’) mp3 player for the train ride up to Londinium tomorrow. You see, for any non-mummy bloggers out there, tomorrow is Cybermummy, and because of my fabulous sponsors, Halos n Horns, I get to go. I’m really looking forward to the weekend actually. Unlike many people I’ve chatted to, I’m not nervous. At all. I don’t really *get* nervous at this kind of thing. I just get a little hyperactive, extremely chatty and divulge quite a lot. Even more so when I’ve had a tipple (or 6).
Now all I have to do is pack. I have no idea what to take. I don’t do “smart” or “dress” or “skirt” or “marks and spencers”. I do baggy jeans, Vans trainers and hoodies. But I’ll make a little effort. I’m sure I have a top somewhere that doesn’t double up as a work shirt.
I am still wearing jeans though. And trainers.
If you’re lucky, I may wear heels for the curry afterwards. There’s wine, I believe. Maybe not heels then.
I have my business cards. I have my notepad. And my pen. I’m hoping I may get a free Dodo pad, but I’m not counting on it. I will be popping via all the stalls and entering all the competitions and probably coming back with a sackful of giveaway stuff and a slightly heavy head, but it’s all good. I only have to work until midnight on the Sunday. It’s fine!
I have a list (in my head) of people I am looking forward to saying hello to, and depending on their personal space invasion limits, giving a hug to. I have several people to meet up with once there, including many of my awesome colleagues from BDT. I have the fabulous Laura to whizz around London to find after getting into Victoria tomorrow afternoon.
We have confirmation of booking for the Ice Bar for Friday night – something different, y’know? You get given mitts and a cloak before you go in, just in case you freeze your knockers off or something.
It’s going to be a great weekend.
I just hope James copes. He has ready meals for the 2 days I’m not here. In his words, “There’s no point cooking if you’re not here.”
That means, “I’d have a plate of Doritos if you don’t get me something microwaveable”
Note to Self: Don’t forget your toothbrush. You did when you went up to Birmingham and you had to nick Becca’s spare. Handy somebody thought ahead. Don’t forget your pyjamas either. I don’t think Laura would appreciate that.

Ice bar sounds cool! See you sat! x
