Metal Mummy

The sheer volume of artwork we have is a little terrifying. Any opportunity Freyja gets, she paints or draws or follows dots to write her name. Or glues and sticks or cuts. Or all of it at once. Just like what I imagine every parent to have, we have a LOT to store. Some of it, if not most of it, is definitely worth showing off in some way or another, which is why I wanted to make some sort of display.

After having a browse, the easiest way of doing just that was to make a wall line for her arty stuff. So easy, so cheap and really quick to do. I have plans to do bigger ones but this was just a tester to see how easily it could come together. I’m pretty pleased with it.

We used a multipack of kids craft threading beads, some mini wooden pegs, some wire (a bit like picture hanging wire but in pink – found in the flower bit of Hobbycraft) and some screw eyes. Easy peasy.

Then all you have to do is choose which bits out of the mountain of paintings you want to hang…

Not so easy.
